PART 1

 

This 90-minute class addresses the Covid-19 crisis: coping with emotional challenges and building resilience.

Objectives:

  • Describe the stages of a crisis and their emotional counterparts

  • Navigate challenges to emotional well-being

  • Identify strengths to build resilience

  • Leverage old and new coping skills

  • Practice a brief guided mindfulness exercise

  • Connect with others during discussion periods

PART 2 

This 75-minute class addresses difficult emotions related to structural violence and the Covid-19 crisis: emotional contagion, self-, and co-regulation.

Objectives: 

  • Describe how positive and negative emotions can spread person to person and through social media. 

  • Identify and lean into strong emotions without hurting yourself.

  • Co-regulate emotions in a way that helps us connect to ourselves and others. 

There is no cost for this class but you must register to participate.
